Original Cold Knife Blades (The 1000 Series) UltraWiz®
Original Blades, "the blades that permanently changed the
industry", are manufactured by A.N. Designs Inc., one of the
first companies to use compound angles in their blade design.
The purpose of this design is to give the blade sharper angles,
making it easier for technicians to find "the sweet spot"
during cutting. Made from high-quality steel, the blades are

Coated UltraThin Paint Protection Blades (The
51C0 Series) With the advent of exposed edge glass and open
pinchwelds, the risk of paint damage posed new obstacles for
the auto glass technician. Understanding this, the engineers
at UltraWiz® developed a coating designed to reduce paint
damage. The coated UltraThin Paint Protection Blades are the
strongest, thinnest, coated coldknife blades available! Our
coated blades are 40% thinner than our original series and
as a result of the manufacturing process, stronger. The coating
protects automotive paint from scratches and damage while
cutting out windshields or back glasses with exposed pinchwelds.
The coating is applied heavily to the backside of the 51C0
Series Paint Protection Blades where it is needed, but very
thin on the inside surface which goes against the glass. This
feature is critical because of the limited clearance between
the glass and pinchweld due to new vehicle designs. With enough
clearance for the blade between the glass and body, the concerns

Specialty Blades
Based on the UltraThin 5000 Series Blades, the UltraWiz®
Interior Blades are designed to reach and cut the urethane
adhesive of all Dodge Truck Sliders, from the inside, without
removing most interior panels or headliners. The proper
cutting length and angle makes this blade ideal for getting
under the encapsulation from the interior of the cab. The
unique design has a positive depth stop manufactured right
into the blade. With this feature, you always know how deep
you're cutting, without the worry of pinchweld contact.
The shank of the blade is angled back to allow the UltraWiz®
Lever Knives access in tight places, such as above headliners
or behind quarter trim panels. Technicians have commented
that the blade works exceptionally well with the UltraWiz®
UltraThin Lever Knife (3008-K). The blade is also being
used for interior removals on many other quarter window,

Long Knives
At only 3/16" thick with three available lengths, UltraWiz®
Long Knives easily fit between the deepest dash and windshield.
Unique blade holder does not require excessive tightening
of the Phillips screw; just loosen the screw to remove the
