UNDERSIDE UNIVERSAL MOULDINGS

DUAL EXTRUDED

Many new vehicles are designed with exposed glass edges and exposed pinch welds. One of the biggest challenges that face the auto glass technician is the successful removal and reinstallation of these parts. The trim that surrounds the glass often gets damaged when trying to save the glass sometimes leaving the glass part useless.

Gold Glass Group has the solution. T-201, T-202 or T-203 Underside Replacement Mouldings come with a revolutionary aggressive adhesive that keeps the moulding on the glass during installation.

Description
T-201
5/16" (8mm)
An EPDM Universal Moulding with an 8mm (5/16") lip. It comes on a 90' (45' dual extruded) roll keeping the product neat and untangled. We suggest the use of our application tool (GTOOL201) on this profile.
T-202
7/32" (5.5mm)
Specifically designed to replace damaged mouldings on quarter and back glasses with radius corners. T-202 is a closed cell foam moulding and has a 5.5mm (7/32") lip. The flexibility of the foam, and the aggressiveness of the adhesive applied to the moulding, allow the product to go around radius corners better than any prior universal moulding. The T-202 underside profile comes on a 100' (50' dual extruded) roll.
T-203
9/32" (7mm)
A closed cell foam moulding like the T-202. It is a bit wider with a 7mm (9/32") lip. The T-203 underside profile comes as a single application roll and is sold in 16 ft lengths.
To use: Carefully trim the old encapsulation from the glass part, then clean. Apply T-201, use GTOOL201 if needed and use GGLUE to bond ends together. Apply T-202, T-203 Underside Moulding to the perimeter of the glass part. Follow the urethane and vehicle manufacturer's installation procedures for the part.

T-201 Installation Instructions
Before the application of the profile T-201 check the glass edges and cut away any remaining adhesive.
1. Put the profile T-201 in the application tool.
2. Apply the profile with the application tool to the cleaned or primered glass.
3. While applying the profile keep the application tool against the edge of the glass to ensure an even application.
4. Apply the urethane to the glass so that it is in contact with both the glass and the self adhesive profile.
